Saudi Arabia’s health-tech startup Nuxera AI has raised USD 2.5 million in funding from Sanabil Venture Studio, a subsidiary of Redesign Health. The investment aims to accelerate the company’s mission of transforming healthcare operations with Arabic-first artificial intelligence.

Empowering Arabic Healthcare with AI

Sanabil Venture Studio will not only provide capital but also offer operational support and healthcare expertise to help Nuxera expand rapidly across the region. The funding will be used to:

  • Expand engineering and go-to-market teams in Saudi Arabia
  • Support additional hospital deployments
  • Enhance Nuxera’s proprietary AI models through new clinical collaborations

The startup’s vision is to modernize clinical workflows with natural language processing (NLP) technology built specifically for Arabic-speaking healthcare systems.

The Founders and Their Mission

Nuxera AI was founded by Amin El Hemaily (CEO), Asad Khan (CTO), and Nada Hassan (CCO). The team brings together deep expertise in healthcare, data science, and software engineering.

Their mission is clear: make Arabic healthcare data intelligent, accessible, and actionable. By focusing on local linguistic and operational nuances, Nuxera is positioning itself as a key enabler of Saudi Arabia’s broader digital health transformation.

Inside Nuxera’s Technology

Nuxera’s flagship product, SERA, is an Arabic-first AI platform that captures doctor–patient conversations across 28 Arabic dialects. It then automatically generates structured medical notes coded in SNOMED, ACHI, SBS, and ICD-10.

This innovation offers hospitals measurable benefits:

  • Reduces documentation time by over 70%
  • Improves data accuracy and coding compliance
  • Integrates seamlessly with existing hospital systems

The company’s secondary solution, “Talk to Your Data”, allows healthcare leaders to query clinical, operational, and financial insights directly in Arabic. Hospital executives can ask questions in natural language and receive instant, accurate responses.

Together, these tools transform how healthcare providers interact with their data. Helping turn complex datasets into real-time intelligence that improves decision-making and efficiency.

A Step Toward Smarter, Localized AI

According to CEO Amin El Hemaily, “We’ve built Nuxera’s AI to work within the daily realities of public and private healthcare systems. It understands the way Arabic doctors speak, codes data the way payers need, and delivers insights leaders can act on.”

As Saudi Arabia continues to invest in digital health infrastructure under Vision 2030, Nuxera AI’s Arabic-first approach positions it as a frontrunner in the emerging health-tech landscape.

By combining linguistic precision, clinical intelligence, and regional focus, Nuxera is not only building smarter AI—but also reshaping the future of healthcare across the Middle East.
