Saudi Arabia has taken a bold step into the future of technology with the launch of Humain Chat, an Arabic-focused AI application now available to users across the Kingdom.

The app marks the first release in Humain’s AI suite, powered by ALLAM 34B. It is among the largest Arabic model fully developed in Saudi Arabia by Saudi talent. More than just an app, Humain Chat represents a vision. It aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global leader in AI. Not just that, it’s looking to create technology deeply rooted in cultural and linguistic authenticity.

Built in the Kingdom, For the Arabic World

Humain, fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), was introduced in May under the leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Its mission is clear: build sovereign AI that reflects regional values and accelerates innovation.

According to CEO Tareq Amin, the launch is a “historic milestone” and a moment of pride for Saudi Arabia, demonstrating that globally competitive technologies can be developed locally without compromise.

Powered by ALLAM 34B

At the core of Humain Chat is ALLAM 34B, a large language model developed by more than 120 AI experts, including 35 PhD-level researchers based in the Kingdom. The model was specifically designed to serve the 350 million Arabic speakers worldwide, making it one of the most ambitious projects in regional AI to date.

Its capabilities include:

  • Dialect mastery – Understanding classical Arabic as well as regional dialects.
  • Cultural sensitivity – Built with awareness of Islamic and Middle Eastern values.
  • Multilingual flexibility – Available in both Arabic and English.
  • Expert refinement – Enhanced with input from 600 domain experts and 250 evaluators.

This depth of development ensures unmatched fluency and alignment with cultural nuances often missed by global AI platforms.

Accessible Across Platforms

Humain Chat is available today on iOS, Android, and web browsers, with plans to expand to other Arabic-speaking countries soon. This accessibility reflects the Kingdom’s ambition to not only serve domestic users but also empower the wider Arab world with sovereign AI tools.

A Vision Beyond Technology

Humain is more than a technological milestone, it’s a statement of intent. By anchoring AI in local infrastructure, language, and cultural identity, Saudi Arabia is proving that innovation does not need to be imported. Instead, it can be built at home and shared globally.

As Amin emphasized, “This is just the beginning. The potential is limitless, opening doors for progress across every dimension of commercial and social life.
