TAP, a Palestinian-Dutch company dedicated to creating remote jobs and opportunities for underserved youth, has raised $1 million in funding. Led by Invest International and supported by impact-driven angel investors, this investment will drive TAP’s mission to expand its reach across Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Revolutionizing Job Creation in the Region

Founded in 2018 by Jafar Shunnar and Christian Vezjak, TAP began its journey in Gaza, focusing on job creation in a region with limited opportunities. Over time, the company has evolved into a scalable, tech-driven platform empowering youth with tools, mentorship, and coaching to secure meaningful jobs.

TAP’s new AI-powered job-hunting platform, set to launch in 2025, will provide a comprehensive suite of career tools. The platform aims to help youth find remote jobs without leaving their home countries, combating unemployment and reducing brain drain.

Remarkable Growth Despite Challenges

In 2024, TAP created over 100 remote jobs, more than doubling its impact from the previous year. Operating in Palestine, where systemic challenges and economic hardships persist, the company continues to foster resilience and growth.

With the latest funding, TAP aims to generate 1,000 remote jobs by the end of 2025, focusing on scalability and regional impact.

Introducing an AI-Powered Platform

TAP is reshaping the job market with its advanced AI platform, designed to simplify the job search process. The platform connects youth with over 1,000 global mentors, offers personalized career guidance, and uses AI tools to match job seekers with suitable roles.

This innovation has already shown promise in pilot programs with education-focused NGOs. Early results indicate the platform’s potential to transform how underserved youth access career opportunities.

“TAP’s technology is about empowering individuals to take control of their careers,” said Jafar Shunnar, Co-founder and CTO. “We’re building tools that not only create jobs but also inspire long-term community change.”

A Movement for Social and Economic Resilience

Beyond job creation, TAP has evolved into a grassroots movement for social and economic empowerment. Despite operating in challenging conditions, including Gaza’s unstable infrastructure, the team remains committed to its mission.

TAP’s Head of Product, Tabea, emphasized the broader impact: “This isn’t just about jobs—it’s about transforming communities. When youth are empowered, entire regions can thrive.”

Can remote jobs by TAP go beyond borders?

Initially focused on Palestine, TAP now operates in Jordan and Lebanon, targeting regions with high youth unemployment rates. The company’s approach combines cutting-edge technology with mentorship and partnerships to create sustainable job opportunities.

Co-founder and CEO Christian Vezjak shared the company’s vision: “We’re building a ripple effect of change. By expanding into new regions and scaling our impact, we’re ensuring more youth have access to meaningful opportunities.”

A Collaborative Approach to Growth

The $1 million funding follows TAP’s 2023 seed round, which included participation from Wamda Capital, the World Bank, and Loyal VC. These investments highlight the growing confidence in TAP’s ability to deliver transformative results.

TAP collaborates closely with NGOs, educational institutions, and global investors to create impactful, scalable solutions for youth employment.

Building a Better Future

With a goal to create 1,000 remote jobs in 2025, TAP remains focused on its mission to empower underserved youth. By blending technology, mentorship, and partnerships, the company is driving meaningful change across Palestine, Jordan, and Lebanon—and beyond.
