Water Harvesting Inc. (WaHa), a pioneering climate tech company specializing in atmospheric water generation (AWG), has successfully raised $8 million in Series A-1 funding. This round supports WaHa’s mission to improve water sustainability across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
The raise was led by Chairman Mike Phillips and Board Member Christian Thirion, with contributions from prominent backers including Berkeley Catalyst Fund, Anthropocene Institute, Vestafund, and Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co., Ltd.

The newly raised capital will be used to:

Proven Technology in Harsh Climates
WaHa is best known for its patented WaHa Vaporator® technology: a modular, off-grid AWG system capable of pulling clean water from the air in even the most challenging environments. The company holds:

Since 2023, WaHa has deployed systems in West Texas, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Stockholm, with ongoing field trials at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi confirming strong performance in desert climates.
Expanding Across the GCC
With a strong sales pipeline in the UAE and across the GCC, the funding will allow WaHa to accelerate commercial rollouts and expand access to sustainable water.

The company will also launch its first commercial AWG unit at WETEX 2025 in Dubai (September 30 – October 2). The product will show to:
