Egyptian–Saudi startup Velents.ai has raised USD 1.5 million in a funding round led by angel investors, including senior executives from Google and Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The company is now emerging as one of the region’s most innovative AI players, blending deep technology with local language understanding.

Founded by Mohamed Gaber and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib, Velents started as a recruitment technology platform and later expanded into enterprise AI solutions designed to enhance how organizations attract and manage talent. The company’s latest milestone introduces Agent.sa, an autonomous, Arabic-speaking AI employee that redefines how businesses operate.

Redefining the Workplace with Arabic AI

The launch of Agent.sa marks a major step for AI localization in the Middle East. It is the first fully autonomous AI employee that understands Arabic and its regional dialects, operating seamlessly across business workflows.

Agent.sa can perform tasks traditionally managed by human employees, including:

  • Answering phone calls and managing WhatsApp conversations.
  • Tracking and resolving customer requests.
  • Executing operational and administrative tasks.
  • Analyzing data and reporting insights in real time.

Unlike generic AI assistants, Agent.sa operates entirely in Arabic, removing the need for translation tools or complex interfaces. This makes it ideal for companies seeking efficient, culturally aligned digital solutions.

“Our vision is to build an intelligent digital colleague who understands the language and culture of Arab businesses,” said Mohamed Gaber, Co-Founder and CEO of Velents. “Agent.sa works 24/7 to support teams, improve productivity, and help companies deliver faster and smarter customer experiences.”

Transforming Enterprise Operations Across Industries

Velents is positioning Agent.sa as a universal enterprise assistant for sectors such as:

  • Banking and financial services for customer support and data handling.
  • Telecom for managing high-volume communication.
  • Healthcare for patient scheduling and inquiries.
  • Logistics and retail for order tracking and operations management.

The agent integrates with WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram, allowing seamless communication across multiple platforms. It can also analyze complex datasets, automate responses, and manage thousands of simultaneous interactions with accuracy and speed.

Building AI for the Arab World

Velents’ innovation reflects a broader movement toward AI solutions built for regional needs. By developing a digital employee fluent in Arabic, the startup is addressing a major gap in global AI ecosystems, where most tools remain optimized for English-speaking users.

The new funding will help Velents expand its technical team, strengthen AI model development, and scale deployment across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the wider MENA region.

Velents’ mission is clear — to empower businesses with AI employees that understand their language, culture, and operational goals. With Agent.sa, the company is creating the foundation for a new era of intelligent, localized enterprise automation.
