TERN Group, a Dubai-based healthtech startup, has raised USD 24 million in Series A funding to scale its AI-powered clinical workforce platform. The round was co-led by Notion Capital (UK) and EQ2 Ventures (UAE), with participation from RTP Global, LocalGlobe, Leo Capital, Presight Capital, and Tom Stafford, Co-Founder of DST Global.
This brings TERN’s total funding to USD 33 million, following its Seed round last year.
A Smarter Way to Manage Healthcare Talent
TERN’s mission is to transform how healthcare professionals are trained, certified, and deployed worldwide. Its Clinical AI Workforce platform offers:
- ✅ Faster hiring – reducing recruitment timelines from one year to under 10 weeks.
- ✅ Lower costs – cutting down expenses for hospitals and care providers.
- ✅ Higher productivity – ensuring professionals are work-ready upon arrival.
- ✅ Compliance assurance – streamlining certifications and regulatory approvals.
Addressing GCC’s Growing Healthcare Demand
Healthcare needs in the GCC are rising sharply. The UAE alone is projected to spend over USD 50 billion on healthcare by 2029. Hospitals across the region face challenges in sourcing and retaining skilled staff, especially nurses and care workers.
TERN is building a reliable pipeline of global healthcare professionals, particularly from India and 12 other countries, known for producing world-class medical talent.
Leadership Vision
- Avinav Nigam, Founder & CEO of TERN Group, explained: “Healthcare professionals from countries like India are world-class, but recruitment systems are slow and fragmented. We are building the infrastructure to make global healthcare careers faster, fairer, and fully transparent. The GCC, especially the UAE, is central to this mission.”
Beyond Recruitment: Full-Stack AI + Human Support
TERN goes further than matching hospitals with candidates. Its hybrid model combines:
- ✅ AI automation – resume parsing, candidate screening, and compliance checks.
- ✅ Training & certification – preparing workers for international healthcare standards.
- ✅ Human support – guidance on relocation, cultural integration, and career growth.
This mix of AI efficiency and human touch aims to ease one of the region’s toughest challenges: ensuring a sustainable supply of skilled healthcare workers.
What’s Next for TERN
With the new funding, TERN will:
- Expand across GCC markets, Europe, and the UK.
- Deepen integrations with hospital systems and regulators.
- Strengthen its training and compliance infrastructure.
By building the backbone of healthcare workforce management, TERN is positioning itself as a critical partner for health systems under pressure to scale quickly and efficiently.
A Platform with Global Potential
Since its founding in 2023 by Avinav Nigam and Krishna Ramkumar, TERN has grown into a platform with international reach. It now serves healthcare professionals from 13 countries, offering a transparent, faster path to global careers.
As demand for healthcare talent accelerates worldwide, TERN’s model could become a blueprint for solving workforce shortages far beyond the GCC.
