UAE-based CE-Invests, the investment arm of Crescent Enterprises, has backed Flipspaces in its $50 million Series C funding round. The round also saw participation from Panthera Growth Partners (Singapore) and SMBC Asia Rising Fund (Japan).
The investment underscores the growing confidence in Flipspaces, a tech-first interior design and build company operating in India and the U.S., with plans to scale into the Middle East.
A Three-Pronged Growth Strategy
Flipspaces plans to use the fresh capital across three core areas:
- AI-powered software – further developing its proprietary interior design platform.
- Geographic expansion – deepening its footprint in India and the U.S., while using the UAE as a launchpad into MENA.
- Strategic acquisitions – targeting established design and construction firms in the U.S., UAE, and India to integrate technology, boost efficiency, and scale profitability.
CEO Kunal Sharma explained the roadmap:
“We will double down on AI-driven design solutions, expand into new geographies, and accelerate growth through strategic acquisitions.”
Leveraging AI in Interior Design
Flipspaces has built a niche in AI-driven interior design technology. Its solutions allow businesses to:
- Generate virtual design mock-ups with speed and precision.
- Streamline procurement and supply chain operations.
- Improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
By embedding AI into workflows, the company aims to set new industry benchmarks in commercial design and build services.
Building an Innovation Corridor
Founded in 2015 by Kunal Sharma, Ankur Muchhal, Vikash Anand, and Mrinal Sharma, Flipspaces serves a wide range of commercial spaces. Its expansion strategy now seeks to bridge three high-growth regions:
- India – a booming demand for modern office and retail spaces.
- United States – a mature but fragmented market with acquisition opportunities.
- UAE & MENA – an innovation-driven hub with strong appetite for tech-enabled design.
Ghada Abdelkader, Senior VP of CE-Invests, highlighted the regional significance:
“With the UAE as its launchpad, Flipspaces is uniquely positioned to bridge the Asia–UAE–USA innovation corridor.”
Strengthening Supply Chains
The funding will also support supply chain optimization, a critical factor for scaling design and build operations. By digitizing procurement and integrating acquired firms into its ecosystem, Flipspaces aims to boost revenue and EBITDA margins.
Backed by Strong Investor Confidence
This Series C follows a $35 million round earlier this year, underscoring strong investor faith in Flipspaces’ model. With CE-Invests on board, the company gains not only capital but also regional expertise and networks to fast-track its MENA ambitions.
The Road Ahead
Flipspaces’ Series C funding marks more than just capital infusion. It reflects the rising role of AI in the design industry and the increasing cross-border collaboration between Asia, the Middle East, and the U.S.
As it scales, Flipspaces is positioning itself not only as a design company but as a global technology-enabled infrastructure player, redefining how commercial spaces are imagined, built, and optimized.
