Kumulus Water, a Tunisian AgriTech innovator, has secured $3.5 million in Seed funding to take its groundbreaking Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG) technology to new heights. The funding round was led by Flat6Labs, Khalys Venture, Plus VC, and Bpifrance.

The goal? To expand into Saudi Arabia and scale production of its flagship solution, the Kumulus Box—a high-capacity water generator that turns air into clean, drinkable water.

Tackling Water Scarcity, One Drop at a Time

Kumulus is tackling a critical challenge—water scarcity—especially in regions that lack dependable water infrastructure. Their technology offers a decentralized, eco-friendly alternative that doesn’t rely on pipelines, tankers, or groundwater.

Their AWGs work by:

  • âś… Drawing in ambient air through a circular inlet
  • âś… Filtering out dust, pollutants, and particles
  • âś… Cooling and condensing the air to create water droplets—mimicking natural dew
  • âś… Collecting and storing 20 to 30 liters of clean water daily per unit

What sets it apart? The system can be powered by solar energy or electricity and is fully autonomous. Users can control and monitor it remotely via a mobile or web app, making it ideal for off-grid areas or large-scale community use.

The Kumulus Box: Designed for Scale

The newly funded Kumulus Box is a major leap forward. Built for industrial, agricultural, and community use, it supports higher volumes of water generation while maintaining energy efficiency.

Kumulus plans to use the funding to:

  • âś… Launch a high-capacity production line
  • âś… Scale operations in France, Spain, and Tunisia
  • âś… Enter Saudi Arabia, where water sustainability is a national priority
  • âś… Strengthen R&D and remote monitoring features

Saudi Arabia is a strategic target, with growing demand for sustainable water solutions amid a desert climate and limited freshwater resources.

A Broader Vision for Impact

Beyond just technology, Kumulus Water is part of a larger movement to rethink how we access one of Earth’s most vital resources. By making water generation portable, renewable, and smart, the company offers an essential tool for climate resilience.

With global water demand rising and extreme weather events threatening supply chains, air-to-water solutions like these could become a crucial part of the world’s water strategy.

What’s next?

This funding marks a major step forward—not just for Kumulus, but for water innovation worldwide. As it expands into Saudi Arabia and beyond, Kumulus is setting the stage for a future where clean water can be made anywhere, anytime—directly from the air.
