WildyNess, a Tunisian B2B2C traveltech startup, has closed its pre-seed round co-led by Bridging Angels and the African Diaspora Network. Though the deal value remains undisclosed, the funding marks a major step for the growing traveltech ecosystem in North Africa.

Founded in 2021 by Achraf Aouadi and Rym Bourguiba, WildyNess connects conscious travellers with authentic, locally designed experiences built in partnership with micro-entrepreneurs. The startup’s approach focuses on sustainability, culture, and meaningful connections rather than mass-market tourism.

A New Chapter for North African Traveltech

This round makes WildyNess the first B2B2C travel marketplace in North Africa to announce a pre-seed raise. The move highlights a growing investor interest in sustainable tourism, an area that has often been overlooked compared to fintech and logistics sectors.

Key points that set WildyNess apart include:

  • Authenticity over scale: Each experience is locally curated, ensuring a positive community and environmental impact.
  • Organic traction: The company generated over $300,000 in sales since 2022 without spending on paid marketing.
  • Community-based model: Local entrepreneurs co-create travel experiences, driving income and visibility for underserved communities.

Fuel for Regional Growth

The new funds will support expansion into Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE, while also upgrading WildyNess’s technology infrastructure. The platform aims to become a regional leader in Community-Based Tourism (CBT) by making local travel more accessible, transparent, and sustainable.

Co-founder Achraf Aouadi emphasized the company’s mission: “The future of travel lies in authenticity and impact. Travellers today want real stories and real people, not generic attractions.”

Backing Local Innovation

For Bridging Angels and the African Diaspora Network, this investment signals confidence in African innovation and the potential of traveltech beyond traditional sectors. The investors commended the WildyNess team for their discipline, creativity, and focus on customer experience.

Their backing not only provides capital but also offers strategic access to global markets. This support could help WildyNess scale its model across MENA, positioning Tunisia as a rising hub for purpose-driven tourism startups.

Looking Ahead

WildyNess’s success shows that travel can be both profitable and purposeful. By aligning community development with traveller expectations, it represents a fresh, sustainable vision for the region’s tourism industry.
