Standard Chartered Bahrain is back with the 6th edition of its SC Women in Tech (WiT) programme. The event is officially launching on 22 April 2025. This exciting initiative continues to uplift female-led startups in Bahrain with training, funding, and a strong network of partners to help turn big ideas into real businesses.
A Platform Built for Women Entrepreneurs
SC Women in Tech is not just a competition. It’s actually a launchpad for women founders who are ready to disrupt the business world with innovative solutions. Over the years, more than 50 women-led startups have already benefited from this platform, with 19 standout teams receiving USD 305,000+ in total funding to date.
The 2025 edition brings together powerhouse partners including:

- ✅ Tamkeen – The Labour Fund
- ✅ Supreme Council for Women (SCW)
- ✅ UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office
- ✅ Innovate for Bahrain (I4BH)

These collaborators provide strategic backing, resources, and access to expert mentorship, making this programme one of the most holistic support systems for female entrepreneurs in the region.
What’s New in SC Women in Tech 2025?
Ten new teams will be selected to join an 8-week intensive programme where they’ll gain:
- ✅ Practical business training
- ✅ Workshops led by industry leaders
- ✅ Networking opportunities with ecosystem players
- ✅ Access to a strong alumni community
At the end of the programme, the top three teams will walk away with cash prizes:
- 🏆 1st Place – USD 35,000
- 🥈 2nd Place – USD 25,000
- 🥉 3rd Place – USD 15,000
All three winners will also receive a 3-month residency at Bahrain FinTech Bay, providing access to coworking space, support services, and a vibrant startup ecosystem to further accelerate their growth.

This strategic partnership is set to upgrade QuickDine’s payment solutions, offering users faster and more secure transactions thanks to PIE’s advanced fintech capabilities.
