Dubai based proptech startup Smart Bricks has secured $5 million in pre seed funding. Andreessen Horowitz through a16z Speedrun led the round. Global funds and angel investors from the US, Europe, and the Middle East also participated.

Founded in 2024 by Mohamed Mohamed, the company is building an AI native infrastructure layer for real estate investing. Its mission is clear. Turn real estate into a computable, data driven asset class.

Building an AI Native Real Estate Stack

Real estate remains one of the largest asset classes in the world. Yet most transactions still rely on manual processes. Investors often depend on:

  • PDF reports
  • Broker narratives
  • Limited data points
  • Opaque fee structures

Smart Bricks replaces this model with agentic AI systems. The platform automates discovery, underwriting, and execution from start to finish.

The company compresses a process that normally takes three to six months into minutes. It does this by ingesting more than one million proprietary and public data feeds. The system continuously analyzes:

  • Supply and pricing
  • Liquidity trends
  • Regulatory frameworks
  • Market risk factors

It then surfaces only the top 0.1 percent of properties based on expected risk adjusted return.

End to End Automation for Investors

Smart Bricks does not operate as a marketplace. It acts as an AI infrastructure layer. The platform automates up to 99 percent of the workflow, including:

  • Valuation and underwriting
  • Due diligence
  • Negotiation support
  • Financing coordination
  • Post transaction management

Investors receive ranked opportunities and real time intelligence. They execute with institutional precision without building in house AI teams.

The platform supports both retail and institutional investors. It covers key global markets such as Dubai, London, New York, Miami, and major US cities.

Backed by Leading Global Investors

The funding round reflects strong confidence in the company’s vision. Andreessen Horowitz led the raise. Smart Bricks also counts Techstars, 500 Global, and Cornerstone VC among its backers.

The startup has participated in:

  • Google AI First
  • Microsoft GrowthX
  • NVIDIA Inception

It has also gained recognition from TechCrunch as one of the Top 200 startups globally and from Onstage Europe as a Top 20 startup.

Angel investors from leading AI and investment firms have joined the cap table. This adds strategic depth and global reach.

Founder Driven by AI and Capital Expertise

Founder and CEO Mohamed Mohamed brings strong experience. He previously led AI and strategy initiatives at Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company. He also worked at Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Atomico, and Greycroft.

The CEO understands both capital allocation and frontier technology. His goal is simple. Give real estate investors the same speed and intelligence that public market investors already expect.

Smart Bricks aims to modernize how capital flows across borders. It wants real estate to operate with transparency, speed, and scale. With fresh funding and strong backers, the company moves closer to that vision.
