Shell Egypt, in partnership with Flat6Labs, has wrapped up another impactful year of the Intilaaqah Egypt program, an initiative designed to empower young Egyptian entrepreneurs through mentorship, training, and funding.

The program, part of Shell’s broader social investment strategy, is aligned with Egypt Vision 2030 and aims to build an inclusive innovation ecosystem that supports youth and fosters sustainable development.

A Year of Empowerment and Innovation

This year’s Intilaaqah Egypt cohort brought together over 120 startup teams from Cairo, Alexandria, and Beheira. Participants took part in dynamic training camps, one-on-one mentoring, and pitch preparation sessions designed to turn business ideas into viable startups.

  • ✅ Over 1,000 youth engaged across Egypt
  • ✅ In-person and virtual boot camps made it widely accessible
  • ✅ Business model development, market research, and pitching skills taught

The curriculum focused on real-world entrepreneurial skills — from understanding customer pain points to mapping out scalable, sustainable business models.

Hands-On Support with Real Outcomes

The program culminated in two specialized tracks, launched in March 2025, that concluded with final pitch events. Six standout teams were selected by expert judges and awarded cash prizes to scale their businesses.

  • ✅ Intensive mentorship throughout the year
  • ✅ Tailored training for both local and remote participants
  • ✅ Financial support through prize funding

These incentives helped promising founders gain momentum, visibility, and capital — key elements for early-stage growth.

Voices Behind the Success

Dalia El Gabry, Deputy Chair and Managing Director at Shell Egypt, highlighted the broader vision behind the initiative:

“Empowering communities goes beyond providing energy. We’re building capacity, sparking innovation, and investing in Egypt’s future through its youth.”

She emphasized that Shell wants to continuing its work in entrepreneurship, aiming to support young innovators who will help drive the national economy forward.

Hany El Sonbaty, Chairman and Co-Founder of Flat6Labs Egypt, praised the energy and drive shown by participants:

“The creativity and determination we witnessed were incredible. These founders are not just building startups — they’re building Egypt’s future economy.”

He noted the importance of resilience, market readiness, and long-term vision in the entrepreneurial journey, all of which were central to the Intilaaqah experience.
