Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce fulfillment platform Salasa has secured $30 million in Series B funding, signaling a major step forward for the Kingdom’s growing logistics sector. With this round, the company’s total funding reaches $37.2 million, setting the stage for ambitious expansion plans both locally and internationally.

Backed by Leading Investors

The Series B round was led by Artal Capital, with participation from:

  • Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC)
  • Wa’ed Ventures
  • 500 Global
  • Alsulaiman Group
  • And several strategic investors

This influx of capital will help scale Salasa’s tech ecosystem, fulfillment infrastructure, and international reach.

A Homegrown Logistics Powerhouse

Founded in 2017 by Hasan Alhazmi and Abdulmajeed Alyemni, Salasa offers end-to-end logistics solutions tailored for the booming e-commerce sector. These include:

  • ✅ Fulfillment and warehousing
  • ✅ Shipping and inventory management
  • ✅ Bonded zones and cross-border logistics
  • ✅ Last-mile and hyperlocal delivery

Today, Salasa supports over 1,000 merchants and has shipped more than 50 million products since its inception.

Expanding Footprint & Capabilities

According to the co-founders, the new investment will accelerate expansion across several fronts:

  1. Wider Fulfillment Center Coverage – Growing warehouse capacity in key Saudi cities
  2. Launch of Hyperlocal Delivery – Faster delivery within urban zones
  3. Bonded Warehouse Services – Helping international brands enter the Saudi market without needing a local entity
  4. AI-Driven Operations – Integrating predictive tech across planning, inventory, and fulfillment

“We’re embedding AI to create predictive, self-optimizing logistics,” said Hasan Alhazmi.
“This boosts speed, accuracy, and efficiency for merchants, while cross-border and bonded zone solutions open new markets.”

As of late 2024, Salasa operated 15,000 sqm of warehouse space, 9 dark stores, and had fulfilled 25 million orders. The company also recycles over 500 tons of packaging as part of its ongoing sustainability efforts.

Strategic Partnerships Power Growth

Salasa has built a robust network of logistics and platform partners, including:

  • Retail Clients – Noon, Amazon, Cenomi, Boutiqaat, Laverne, Sharaf DG, and Alothaim Retail
  • Tech Integrations – Salla, ZID, Shopify, Amazon, Trendyol
  • Delivery Partners – Aramex, DHL, Saudi Post, and 40+ others

This diverse ecosystem helps merchants tap into streamlined, scalable fulfillment solutions across Saudi Arabia and beyond.

E-Commerce on the Rise in Saudi Arabia

Salasa’s growth comes amid a larger e-commerce boom in the Kingdom. According to Monsha’at, e-commerce is:

  • ✅ The second-most venture capital-funded sector in Saudi Arabia
  • ✅ Expected to hit 34.5 million users by 2025
  • ✅ Projected to contribute 12% to the national GDP, reaching $69 billion in revenue

To support this momentum, the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) introduced a new e-commerce payments interface in July 2025, further enhancing digital infrastructure and enabling faster transactions.
