Rology continues to scale its AI powered teleradiology platform across the Middle East and Africa. The Egypt based healthtech company closed a growth round backed by major global players. The round includes support from Philips Foundation, Johnson and Johnson Impact Ventures, Sanofi Global Health Unit’s Impact Fund, and MIT Solve Innovation Future. The investment reflects strong confidence in Rology’s ability to deliver faster diagnostics and close critical healthcare gaps across the region.

Strengthening AI Driven Radiology Access

Rology launched in 2017 with a mission to make high quality radiology accessible to hospitals with limited resources. The company built a zero setup, AI accelerated reporting system that covers 12 radiology sub specialties and 8 imaging modalities. Hospitals receive diagnostic reports in as little as 30 minutes.

Key capabilities include:

  • Zero setup cost for facilities
  • AI accelerated reporting workflows
  • Support across multiple modalities
  • Strong coverage across MEA markets

Rology’s system supports more than 300 hospitals across 13 countries. Its network includes over 200 radiologists who help deliver more than 1.3 million reports. The platform played a central role in saving more than 1.2 million lives by improving access to fast and accurate diagnostics.

Expanding Reach Across MEA and LMICs

The new funding round supports Rology’s push to bring advanced diagnostics to low and middle income communities. The company aims to scale faster diagnostics across MEA, boost its market position in Saudi Arabia, and deepen its reach in underserved regions.

Recent expansion highlights include:

  • Growth across Saudi Arabia after acquiring Arkan United
  • Steady market traction in Kenya and East Africa
  • Wider use of AI tools for disease detection and workflow optimisation

Rology released 8 AI tools focused on early diagnosis, automated disease reporting, and workflow efficiency. These tools use agentic AI, LLMs, and foundation models to support scalable and multimodal intelligence across imaging types.

Strong Support from Strategic Partners

Global health organisations expressed confidence in Rology’s mission. Philips Foundation highlighted the company’s role in closing diagnostic gaps and enabling clinicians to focus on patient care. Sanofi Global Health Unit emphasised the impact of AI powered diagnostics in underserved regions. Johnson and Johnson Impact Ventures recognised the platform’s ability to expand access through cost effective AI workflows. MIT Solve praised Rology’s approach in turning innovation into practical and scalable healthcare value.

Accelerating the Future of Teleradiology

With fresh capital, Rology plans to scale its AI models, improve reporting speed, and build deeper coverage across MEA. The leadership team aims to push advanced diagnostics into more hospitals across Africa and the Gulf region. The company sees this milestone as a key step toward lifting radiology standards, improving clinical outcomes, and shaping the future of AI driven healthcare.
