This April, Riyadh will be at the center of global education and human development as it hosts the Human Capability Initiative Conference (HCI 2025) and the EDGEx International Education Exhibition. Running from April 13 to 16, 2025, these landmark events will welcome over 12,000 visitors and 300 speakers from around the world.
Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, these events aim to redefine education, workforce readiness, and innovation—aligning closely with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

With this year’s theme, “Beyond Future Readiness”, the conference is set to challenge traditional approaches to education and job preparedness. Rather than just preparing people for an unpredictable future, the discussions will focus on actively shaping a future led by local talent, technological advancements, and innovation.
Meanwhile, the EDGEx 2025 expo, organized by the Ministry of Education, will spotlight cutting-edge educational advancements, including artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in learning. Together, HCI 2025 and EDGEx form what’s now known as Saudi Arabia’s “Human Capability and Education Week.” This event will bring together experts from governments, private sectors, NGOs, research institutions, and think tanks to share insights, exchange ideas, and forge strategic partnerships.
Last year’s event had a major impact, attracting 10,000 attendees and featuring 102 discussion sessions. It resulted in 40+ agreements worth 3.9 billion Saudi Riyals, driving investments into human capability projects. This year, expectations are even higher, with hopes of furthering Saudi Arabia’s transformation into a knowledge-driven economy.
