Petal Group, a leading floral gifting and e-commerce company with operations in Ireland and the UAE, has raised $18 million from Quintas Capital. The deal marks Quintas Capital’s first Managed Equity investment, signalling growing investor confidence in technology-led consumer platforms.

Founded by Garreth Knowd, Petal Group operates several well-known online flower brands, including Flowers.ie, FlowersDirect.ie, BloomMagic.ie, and Flowers.ae. These platforms combine premium floral design with same-day delivery. This is a proprietary technology system that powers logistics, customer service, and fulfillment efficiency.

Expanding Across New Markets

With the new funding, Petal Group plans to expand across Europe and the Middle East, focusing on:

  • Strategic acquisitions of local and regional flower businesses.
  • Entry into new markets across the Irish–Middle East investment corridor.
  • Technology upgrades to enhance customer experience and supply chain efficiency.

Founder Garreth Knowd said the partnership with Quintas Capital brings not only growth capital but also strategic expertise. “We are excited to collaborate with a team that understands our technology-first approach and supports our expansion ambitions,” he said.

A Landmark Investment for Quintas Capital

For Quintas Capital, the investment represents a milestone under its new Managed Equity division. The fund’s model allows investors and entrepreneurs to collaborate on scalable, high-growth private equity opportunities.

Kevin MacSweeny, Head of Managed Equity at Quintas Capital, said, “Petal Group has built a high-growth, technology-led platform with strong international potential. We are proud to back Garreth and his team as they enter their next phase of expansion.”

Quintas Capital’s recent expansion includes leadership by Kevin MacSweeny and Fawad Tariq Khan, who acquired stakes in the firm to scale its private market investment operations. According to Khan, the investment aligns with the firm’s strategy to strengthen the Irish–Middle East business corridor and support cross-border growth opportunities.

Strengthening the Future of Floral E-commerce

Petal Group’s digital model integrates creativity with technology, offering seamless customer journeys from order to delivery. The platform delivers thousands of floral gifts weekly, combining local craftsmanship with international reach.

As part of its next phase, Petal Group aims to build a stronger global footprint, invest in sustainable sourcing, and innovate within the online gifting sector. The partnership with Quintas Capital positions the company to become a leading name in global floral e-commerce.
