Lenovo, one of the world’s leading technology companies, has announced the establishment of its regional headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh, further strengthening its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey.

The new RHQ will be housed in Al Majdoul Tower, a landmark hub that also hosts several Public Investment Fund (PIF) entities. This strategic location places Lenovo at the heart of innovation and industrial change in Saudi Arabia.

Expanding Beyond Headquarters

The Riyadh RHQ is not just a symbolic move. It is part of a much broader regional growth plan, which includes:

  • Flagship Retail Space – Designed to showcase Lenovo’s latest innovations and connect directly with customers.
  • VIP Customer Center – Offering premium services and experiences for enterprise clients.
  • Research & Development (R&D) – Driving local innovation and talent development.
  • Marketing and Partnerships – Strengthening Lenovo’s presence across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

According to Matt Dobrodziej, Senior Vice President & President of Lenovo EMEA, these initiatives—combined with Lenovo’s local investments—are projected to contribute up to $10 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP by 2030.

Strategic Partnership with ALAT

Lenovo’s expansion into Saudi Arabia builds on its recent partnership with ALAT, a PIF-owned company. Together, the two firms are advancing Lenovo’s global manufacturing capabilities.

Earlier this year, Lenovo and ALAT began construction on a 200,000 sqm advanced manufacturing facility in the Riyadh Integrated Zone. The site will significantly expand Lenovo’s production footprint and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s role as a hub for advanced industries.

“Through our strategic partnership with ALAT and investment in advanced manufacturing, we are proud to support Vision 2030 by enabling industrial diversification, accelerating digital transformation, and fostering sustainable economic growth,” added Dobrodziej.

Strengthening Leadership in Saudi Arabia

To lead this new phase of growth, Lenovo has appointed a senior leadership team for the Kingdom:

  • Lawrence Yu – Head of Regional Headquarters
  • Giovanni Di Filippo – Vice President & General Manager, Lenovo Saudi Arabia
  • Zoran Radumilo – Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Lenovo Saudi Arabia

This leadership team will oversee Lenovo’s expansion strategy, partnerships, and contribution to Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing digital economy.

Looking Ahead

Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 agenda emphasizes digital innovation, industrial transformation, and economic diversification. Lenovo’s investment in headquarters, R&D, retail, and manufacturing aligns closely with these goals.

By embedding itself into Saudi Arabia’s tech ecosystem, Lenovo is not just expanding its business footprint—it is also helping to shape the Kingdom’s digital future.
