LaunchPad Pakistan can be a Game-Changer for Startups

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) has launched its first-ever startup support program, LaunchPad Pakistan 2025, aimed at empowering students and IT entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to provide mentorship, investment opportunities, and business networking to young innovators across the country.

The flagship event, LaunchPad Pakistan 2025, is going to take place on April 19 and will bring together a network of over 500 leading businessmen to support startups through investments and guidance.

Addressing Key Startup Challenges

Pakistan has no shortage of talented youth with innovative business ideas, but financial and mentorship gaps often hinder their growth. The FPCCI aims to tackle these challenges by:

  • Connecting startups with investors across Pakistan
  • Providing mentorship from industry leaders
  • Offering funding opportunities for young entrepreneurs
  • Boosting employment and economic growth

The official announcement was made at the FPCCI Head Office, where business leaders, IT experts, and startup participants gathered to discuss the initiative.

Government & Industry Leaders Show Support for LaunchPad Pakistan

Sindh’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, Jam Ikramullah Khan Dharejo, attended the event as the chief guest, reaffirming government support for the initiative. He emphasized the government’s commitment to industrial growth in Karachi and interior Sindh, highlighting new industrial zones planned to attract investment.

“Investors from other provinces are showing great interest in setting up businesses in Sindh,” Dharejo stated, dismissing concerns that industries were relocating elsewhere.

Mentorship & Talent Matchmaking

FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh described LaunchPad Pakistan as a “game changer”. In addition, he highlighted that it will bridge the gap between investors and startups, ensuring financial backing for emerging entrepreneurs.

“This initiative will foster innovation and drive economic progress across the country,” Sheikh emphasized.

Other business leaders echoed the importance of mentoring young entrepreneurs to counter rising unemployment.

  • S.M. Tanveer, Patron-in-Chief of United Business Group, urged business professionals to mentor university students and young innovators.
  • FPCCI Senior Vice President Saqib Fayaz Magoon announced plans for a roundtable conference. Additionally, he called for an online portal to connect investors with startups seamlessly.

A Bright Future for Pakistan’s Startup Ecosystem

With LaunchPad Pakistan 2025, Pakistan’s startup ecosystem is set to receive a major boost. In effect, it will offer young entrepreneurs new opportunities to turn their ideas into successful ventures.

The initiative reflects Pakistan’s growing focus on entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital transformation, ensuring that new businesses have the financial and strategic support needed to thrive.
