Dubai’s homegrown greentech innovator, BloomSpoon, just landed a major win on Season 3 of Shark Tank Dubai, securing $218,000 (AED 800,000) in funding in exchange for 49% equity.

The investment comes from Toufic Kreidieh, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of the Brands for Less (BFL) Group, a powerhouse in retail across the Middle East. But this deal is more than just about money, it’s a strategic leap forward for a startup that’s quite literally planting seeds for a greener future.

What is BloomSpoon?

Launched in 2023 by entrepreneur Mostafa Khattab, BloomSpoon is on a mission to change the way we think about single-use items. The company makes reusable cutlery from wheat straw, each piece embedded with a plant seed capsule.
