AppliedAI has closed a pre Series B funding round to accelerate the global growth of its enterprise AI platform. The round was led by Mubadala Investment Company through its MENA Venture Capital Fund, alongside Arbor Ventures. The investment value was not disclosed.

Founded in the United States in 2021 and now headquartered in Abu Dhabi, AppliedAI builds AI native workflow systems for regulated industries. The new capital strengthens its mission to deliver trusted, production ready AI for mission critical operations.

Scaling AI Built for Regulated Industries

AppliedAI focuses on industries where failure is not an option. These sectors demand accuracy, transparency, and control. The company designs systems that meet those needs from day one.

Its platform serves sectors such as:

  • Healthcare and life sciences
  • Banking and financial services
  • Insurance and risk management
  • Energy and utilities
  • Government and public services

AppliedAI helps enterprises move from manual processes to AI driven workflows. It ensures that governance and compliance remain intact.

Opus Powers Mission Critical Workflows

In 2025, AppliedAI launched Opus, its flagship AI native workflow platform. Opus enables organizations to automate complex operations while keeping humans in the loop.

Key capabilities of Opus include:

  • Agentic AI with human supervision
  • Full audit trails and traceability
  • Built in security and compliance controls
  • Support for large scale production use

Opus allows enterprises to gain major productivity improvements. It does so without sacrificing accountability or trust.

Strong Global Footprint and Proven Deployments

AppliedAI employs more than 350 people worldwide. It runs active deployments across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Many pilot projects have already moved into full production.

These deployments operate in environments where accuracy and resilience matter most. Clients rely on Opus to manage document heavy and compliance driven workflows at scale.

The company raised 55 million dollars in a Series A round in February 2025. That round valued the company at 300 million dollars before investment. The pre Series B builds on this momentum.

Meeting the Real Constraint in Enterprise AI

AI adoption now faces a new challenge. Models are powerful. Institutions are not always ready. Enterprises need systems that operate inside real world limits.

AppliedAI addresses this gap by focusing on:

  • Operational trust and reliability
  • Regulatory alignment across regions
  • Measurable business impact
  • Scalable enterprise deployments

This approach positions the company as a leader in applied AI, not experimentation.

Abu Dhabi as a Global AI Export Hub

The investment reflects Abu Dhabi’s ambition to build global technology champions. AppliedAI stands out as a private sector AI leader exporting enterprise technology worldwide.

Founder and CEO Arya Bolurfrushan said the partnership supports a shared vision for trusted and scalable AI. He emphasized the goal of building a lasting global company from Abu Dhabi.

With fresh capital and strong backing, AppliedAI is ready to scale trust driven enterprise AI across global markets.
