Nowlun, a rising Egypt-based digital logistics platform, has secured an additional $600,000 in funding, closing its seed round at $2.3 million. The latest extension was led by Ingressive Capital, with earlier support from Nama Ventures, A15, Sanabil 500 Global, and angel investors.
Nowlun’s mission? To simplify and modernize global freight logistics for businesses across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
What Does Nowlun Do?
Founded by Moataz Khamis, Mahmoud Khaled, and Ahmed Emara, Nowlun helps MENA-based businesses manage:
- ✅ Full Container Load (FCL) shipments
- ✅ Bulk cargo logistics
- ✅ Real-time tracking and shipment updates
The platform removes many of the inefficiencies that still plague the freight industry in the region, often dominated by slow, manual processes.
Why This Funding Matters
This new capital will fuel Nowlun’s expansion and sharpen its AI-driven logistics capabilities. The startup plans to:
- Develop a smart Logistics Assistant
- Improve shipment efficiency and tracking
- Expand operations in Egypt and Saudi Arabia
The goal is to offer smarter, faster, and more transparent shipping solutions, bringing the same digital convenience found in consumer apps to the freight world.
Meet the Logistics Assistant
One of Nowlun’s most exciting innovations in the pipeline is its AI-powered Logistics Assistant. Built for ocean freight shippers across MENA and Africa, the assistant will offer:
- Instant insights and cost-saving recommendations
- Data-driven decision support
- Automation of routine shipping workflows
Nowlun’s CEO, Moataz Khamis, explains:
“We’re building your smart Logistics Assistant—a tool that puts decades of industry expertise in the palm of your hand. It’s designed to help you make faster, smarter decisions every day.”
By using AI to streamline operations and reduce costs, Nowlun is helping regional businesses navigate the complexity of global trade more efficiently.
Focus on Regional Growth
As part of its scaling strategy, Nowlun is doubling down on growth in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. These markets represent major logistics hubs for MENA and provide fertile ground for AI-enhanced freight services.
Nowlun also plans to use its funding to:
- ✅ Grow its team of logistics and AI experts
- ✅ Increase shipment capacity
- ✅ Deliver seamless, tech-driven freight experiences
What’s next for Nowlun?
Nowlun is not just another logistics startup, it’s positioning itself as a key player in the digital transformation of freight in MENA. With a strong founding team, a growing user base, and now more financial backing, the company is well on its way to making global shipping more reliable, transparent, and cost-effective for the region’s businesses.
