The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has entered a three-year strategic partnership with Amazon Ads, setting the stage for a massive global expansion of the Esports World Cup brand. This move aims to revolutionize how esports fans engage with tournaments by blending high-level competition with immersive digital experiences.

Bringing Esports to Everyday Platforms

  • âś… Alexa – for real-time voice updates and integrations
  • âś… Wondery – for immersive audio storytelling

This multi-platform approach will deepen fan engagement, making it easier than ever for audiences to follow the action anytime, anywhere.

Global Focus, Local Impact

The collaboration is strategically designed to expand the reach of the tournament in key global markets, including:

  • âś… United States

This effort builds on the successful launch of the Esports World Cup Hub on Amazon.sa and Amazon.ae during the 2024 edition, which marked the beginning of a deeper collaboration between EWCF and Amazon.

Mike McCabe, COO of EWCF, shared:
“Esports is changing how the world consumes entertainment—it’s live, accessible, and social. With Amazon, we’re embedding esports into people’s everyday digital lives—whether they’re watching highlights on Prime, catching a Twitch stream, or even asking Alexa for updates.”

Shaping the Future of Digital Entertainment

This initiative also supports Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to position the Kingdom as a global leader in digital entertainment, esports, and technology.

Rayan Karaky, Managing Director at Amazon Ads, added:
“Through our global platforms, we’re delivering world-class esports content from Saudi Arabia to the world. This partnership will help redefine fan experiences and create unique brand opportunities across markets.”

What’s Coming in 2025

The next edition of the Esports World Cup will take place in Riyadh, from July 7 to August 24, 2025. It promises to be the largest yet, bringing together:

  • âś… 2,000 elite players
  • âś… 200 esports clubs
  • âś… From 100+ countries
  • âś… Competing in 25 tournaments across 24 titles
  • âś… For a record-breaking $70 million prize pool

This scale cements the Esports World Cup as one of the most significant esports events globally.
