Simplex Secures $13 Million to Expand into Saudi Arabia

New CNC Machine Factory in Riyadh to Support Saudi Vision 2030

Egypt-based CNC machine manufacturer Simplex has acquired $13 million, led by Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Development Centre (NIDC), to establish its first advanced manufacturing facility in Riyadh. This investment marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s industrial localization efforts, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy.

“We are grateful for the significant support provided by the Saudi National Industrial Development Centre,” said Eng. Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman of Simplex.
“This factory is a major step toward expanding our global reach and increasing exports of CNC machines while strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional industrial hub.”

A State-of-the-Art Manufacturing Hub

The new 20,000-square-meter factory in Riyadh will focus on producing advanced CNC machines to meet growing regional and global demand. The facility is expected to begin operations in Q1 2026, creating new jobs and enhancing Saudi Arabia’s industrial capabilities.

Simplex signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NIDC, solidifying its commitment to the Saudi market. The agreement was formalized during a signing ceremony attended by:

  • Eng. Ahmed Shaaban, Chairman, Simplex CNC
  • Eng. Khalil ibn Salamah, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Saudi Arabia
  • Key officials from both Saudi Arabia and Simplex

Simplex is expanding Global Presence beyond Saudi

Mohamed Mansour, Co-Founder & Chief Commercial Officer at Simplex, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s strategic importance:

Driving Saudi Vision 2030

This expansion aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on economic diversification, industrial innovation, and non-oil exports. By establishing local production, Simplex will:

  • Reduce reliance on imported CNC machines
  • Boost Saudi Arabia’s industrial sector
  • Enhance job creation and skills development

Since its founding in 2013, Simplex has supplied CNC machines to over 50 industries across 21 countries, making it a trusted name in advanced manufacturing solutions.
