Saudi-based construction technology firm WakeCap has announced its acquisition of Brazil’s Trackfy, a workforce safety and operational intelligence company serving major industrial clients. The move marks WakeCap’s official entry into Latin America, with Brazil becoming its new regional headquarters.
Founded in 2017 by Hassan Albalawi and Ishita Sood, WakeCap develops wearable and sensor-based technology that delivers real-time jobsite monitoring. Its tools help contractors and managers improve efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure worker safety.
Strengthening Global Reach and Capability
The acquisition represents a strategic milestone for WakeCap as it extends its operations beyond construction into operations and maintenance. This expansion allows clients to manage the entire lifecycle of their projects—from the building phase to ongoing industrial operations.
Key goals of the deal include:
- Expanding WakeCap’s international footprint through its LATAM headquarters in Brazil.
- Integrating Trackfy’s safety and operational expertise into WakeCap’s existing platform.
- Supporting long-term client partnerships across the full facility lifecycle.
This approach enables WakeCap to provide a single, connected solution for project intelligence and operational control
Driving Innovation Aligned with Vision 2030
WakeCap’s expansion comes amid Saudi Arabia’s nearly $1 trillion investment in infrastructure and urban development under Vision 2030. The company continues to play a key role in creating smarter, safer, and more sustainable built environments.
By combining AI, IoT, and real-time data analytics, WakeCap empowers decision-makers to optimize workforce performance, safety, and project progress. Its technology already supports over $120 billion in active projects, including major developments such as:
- NEOM
- Aramco
- Qiddiya
- King Salman Park
These partnerships have allowed WakeCap to track more than 150 million labor hours, reinforcing its leadership in the global contech space.
Complementary Strengths and Shared Vision
According to Dr. Hassan Albalawi, WakeCap’s Co-Founder and CEO, “Trackfy brings regional expertise and product capabilities that align perfectly with our mission to make jobsites safer and smarter. This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver richer insights, faster reporting, and greater operational efficiency.”
Tulio Cerviño, CEO of Trackfy, added, “Both companies share the same vision of using technology to transform industrial operations. Together, we can scale faster, expand globally, and redefine how data drives smarter decisions.”
The acquisition creates a unified platform combining WakeCap’s construction intelligence with Trackfy’s industrial operations capabilities. This fusion strengthens WakeCap’s role as a leader in project safety, visibility, and data-driven efficiency across multiple sectors.
Building the Future of Smart Operations
With this acquisition, WakeCap is transforming how projects are managed—offering transparency, safety, and control from construction to daily operations. The company’s continued growth reflects its commitment to innovation and its expanding influence across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the US, Japan, and now Brazil.
